Bloodlines

She ran through the streets, the sound of the cobbled ally clattering against the souls of her shoes as she ran, running, breathing hard, she thought she had lost him, she came to the end of the alleyway, there he was. Standing, arms folded leaning up against the wall. His long black trench coat touching the back of his heals, and his Platinum blonde hair stroking his cheeks gently.

She tried to run the other way but quick as a flash he was suddenly in front of her, blocking her path, his grim smile fell away as he looked at her. She looked like she was about to cry or scream at any moment. She had the look of a deer caught in the headlights of a car.

He placed his hands on her shoulders and tears started rolling down her face as she remembered the shame she has brought on the Family name. He simply wiped away her tears and touched her cheek softly.

My sister, he spoke quiet and soothing; "I will make sure he will not hurt you again.

He pulled her into a tight hug and she buried her head into his chest and let the tears flow. As her arms encircled his waste she felt the cold steel handle of his gun tucked into his belt. She knew what he would to the one that violated her, made her feel sad and had hurt her so much. She looked up and him still teary eyed, his grim smile had returned for his Sister he would do anything, the bloodlines of the family ran strong.

Go home now", he spoke softly again as he started to walk away from her, for now was not the time for kindness. Now he had a job to do and kindness didn't belong in a battle. He walked solemnly into the night disappearing in the shadows.
